The Minto Fire Department consists of volunteer Firefighters. All members have there First Aid and CPR training. The Municipality purchased new fire trucks in 2010 for the department. The truck holds up to 1000 gallons of water with foam injector application. The truck also carries the turn out gear, breathing apparatuses, along with all the other tools required for fighting a fire. There are extra trucks available in the area if needed.
Parent Advisory Council
The Council is a community organization whose primary mandate is dedicated to the education and the well-being of the child. The Council shall encourage parents to participate in meaningful educational activities and decision making, to strengthen the role of families in education and schooling and to foster meaningful parent participation. The Council shall encourage and promote open lines of communication between ourselves, our school, and the school board.”
Objectives of Organization
a) The objectives of the Minto Parent Advisory Council will be to enhance
communication and cooperation between:
- the parents
- school staff
b) To review, discuss, and make recommendations to the school staff and
- school policy and procedures
- programs and services
- facilities and equipment
- fund raising
c) To contribute to the effectiveness of the school by promoting the involvement of parents and other community members.
